On February 24th 2014,Nile.Com held a business event in Cairo in cooperation with Microsoft to introduce the Microsoft Cloud OS Story, how Windows Azure is an important pillar in this story and how ,Nile.Com can help you transform your infrastructure to adopt these new technologies.
The event began with an opening speech held by Hisham Mortada, Platform SSP from Microsoft where he talked about the Microsoft Cloud OS vision and how this vision can help you transform your Datacenter, unlock insights on any data, empower people centric IT and enable modern business applications.
Then an overview of Azure Solutions was presented by Reem Mobasher, TSP from ,Nile.Com talking about the different services offered by Azure with a focus on the services offered in two main areas; Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service.
This was followed by a discussion held by Ahmed El Kanadily, Sales Specialist-Security and Management from Microsoft. The discussion was about how Windows Azure is a great Hybrid Storage opportunity by using the StorSimple appliance that allows you to access frequently used data locally and tier less-used data to the cloud and thus providing you with a more cost-effective and efficient Storage Solution.
The event was finalized by real live cases and scenarios of moving to the cloud and adopting the Hybrid Cloud story. The scenarios were provided by Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Senior Consultant – UC/Voice from Nile.Com
The event proudly witnessed a remarkably high attendance of distinguished executives and IT professionals from the Banking and Manufacturing sectors among many others from diverse industries.
