Microsoft gold competencies are not easy to attain since each requires four employed MCPs, who are required to pass the applicable rigorous gold competency exams to achieve unique credentials that do not count toward any other gold competency. In addition two employees are required to have passed the sales and marketing assessment specific to each competency, and finally, the partner must identify five unique customer references per competency.
